Adairsville felon arrested after assaulting wife and firing shots during violent domestic in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on Friday, August 27th, 2021, at approximately 8:54 PM, hours Deputy Carnes was dispatched to W.C Bryant Parkway in reference to a domestic dispute report that occurred on Triple D Drive. The deputy met with the victim, who stated that at approximately 4:00 PM, she and her husband, Jackie Barron Stoker, 49, of Adairsville, got into a verbal altercation over the victim wanting to go see a friend. According to the report, she said that Mr. Stoker became upset and started telling her she was not going anywhere. The victim said while she was trying to call a friend and he took her Galaxy S8 plus smartphone valued at $1,100.00 and broke it. According to the report, after Mr. Stoker took the phone, he picked up a broomstick and assaulted the victim with it. According to the report, “Mr. Stoker took out his shotgun and fired shots. Mr. Stoker then came back in and got out an additional weapon and sat down in a chair and fired a shot out of the front door.” Stoker then advised the victim that no one, including law enforcement, better come up the driveway, or he will shoot them. He advised the victim that she better be the only one to come up the driveway, and she better be in her car. He then pushed the victim, causing her to fall onto the ground. While on the ground, Stoker violently grabbed her by the legs and moved her through the kitchen. Stoker was later arrested and booked into the Gordon County Jail, charged with simple assault FVA, battery FVA, criminal damage to property FVA, kidnapping FVA, false imprisonment FVA, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
