Aggressive driver call in Murray County leads to meth bust at gas station

On February 25th, 2021, Murray County deputies responded to an aggressive driver in the area of Hwy 225 North. Upon locating the vehicle at the Valero Gas Station, Deputy Townsend requested Chatsworth K-9 Officer Jonathan Sosebee. Officer Sosebee and his partner arrived deployed his K-9 to do an open-air sniff of the vehicle. The K-9 showed a positive alert on the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, a small black box containing a set of scales was located in the center console of the front seat. Also located in the back seat was a medium-size camouflage jacket that contained liquid substance in it that field-tested positive for Methamphetamine. and the swift investigation that followed. Derrik Clay Summerour of Wilbanks Road Chatsworth, Ga was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking in Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Tampering with Evidence, and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime. Ashlyn Hailey Baker of Hawkins Road Crandall, Ga, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Objects.
