Atlanta trio arrested on felony charges after traffic stop in Rome leads to meth and stolen firearm

According to a Rome Police Department incident report, on May 16th, 2022, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Turner McCall Blvd and Riverside Parkway. During the traffic stop officers located over a pound of marijuana, methamphetamine, a digital scale, and a stolen firearm. Officer arrested all three occupants identified as Arvin Renee Louis, 48 of Atlanta, Melva Lee Louis, 69 of Atlanta, and Terajh Javon Scott, 30 of Atlanta. According to the report, During the traffic stop, Scott gave and signed a fake name to officers. All three are charged with possession/distribution of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony crime. Louis was additionally charged with a felony parole violation. Scott was also charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, false statements and writings, giving false information to police, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of methamphetamine, and felony theft by receiving stolen property.
