Austell man found in possession of cocaine after being caught in child predator sex sting in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, Investigators continued to conduct proactive investigations to find child predators who use social media platforms to find children for sex. The Investigator reported, “[I] was posing as a 14-year-old girl online for the purposes of identifying child predators.” Kenyon Dekota Wilson, 35 of Austell, engaged in graphic conversation of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be a child. According to the report, Wilson also asked the child to send him nude photographs. Wilson was taken into custody at an agreed-upon location in Floyd County. The report said Wilson was found to be in possession of cocaine. ¬†Wilson was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with child molestation, obscene internet contact with a child, sexual exploitation of a child, use of a computer to solicit a child to commit a felony, and possession of cocaine.
