Calhoun motorcyclist recklessly flees from deputy at speeds over 120 mph on Highway 225

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On July 23rd, 2022, at approximately 7:20 PM, Deputy Martin was on routine patrol on Highway 225 South at Highway 136 East in Resaca when he observed a black sports bike enter the parking lot of the Shell Gas Station at 4053 Highway 225. According to the report, “When Deputy Martin first noticed the black sports bike appeared, it did not have a Tag on the rear of the vehicle, and also the driver later identified as Buddy Lee Pack Jr., 25, of Calhoun, to be uneasy on the bike swaying back and forth through the parking lot.” Buddy fled the Shell traveling South on Highway 225 at a high rate of speed. The deputy then checked the speed of the black Kawasaki Ninja at 121mph. The Kawasaki continued to flee from the deputy at speeds over 110 mph while passing Greeson Loop Road. According to the report, “Deputy Martin then passed Corinth Road still traveling south on Highway 225 at speeds 110mph.” Buddy then pulled over and pulled 2494 Highway 225. Buddy was then taken into custody. The deputy observed Buddy had extremely bloodshot eyes and an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Buddy was transported to the Gordon County Jail, where he advised he had some Jośe. The deputy assumed he meant Tequila. Buddy was charged with fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer, speeding, and reckless driving.
