Calhoun woman arrested after stabbing ex-husband during domestic at Calhoun Kroger

According to a Calhoun Police Department report, on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, just after 3:00 p.m. an officer was dispatched to AdventHealth Gordon located at 1035 Red Bud Road in reference to a stab wound report. The victim advised the officer his ex-wife Taylor Lynn Thomas, 23, Calhoun, followed him to the parking lot of Kroger, 136 West Belmont Drive, after he said he had left the scene of a domestic dispute between the two. The victim said he had been arguing with Thomas over her refusal to move out of his home after getting divorced in January 2021. He told the officer that he parked his truck towards the side of Kroger and that Thomas parked her 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee on the passenger side of his truck. He told the officer that Thomas then opened the passenger door of his truck; he yelled at her “What the hell are you doing?”. He said Thomas opened the passenger side of his truck and stabbed him with a steak knife in the back of his right thigh. He said their two children were in her vehicle during the entire incident. The victim then drove to the home of his grandparents, and his mother eventually drove him to AdventHealth Gordon for treatment, where he was interviewed by officers. The man is suffered minor injuries and only received two stitches. According to the report, Thomas was then contacted, where she agreed to meet Calhoun Police officers. She was arrested and booked into the Gordon County Jail, charged with aggravated assault. She remained in Gordon County Jail Monday morning.
