Calhoun woman arrested for DUI after speeding and failing to maintain lane on Highway 41 in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, “On Thursday, May 12th, 2022, at approximately 1:33 PM, Deputy Jinright conducted a traffic stop on a White 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe bearing a Georgia Registration on GA-3 at Mauldin Road after observing a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and failing to maintain a single lane. The deputy confirmed the vehicle was traveling 62 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. According to the report, “Deputy Jinright made contact with the driver, Chasta Dalyn Moss, 31, of Calhoun. Deputy Jinright told Ms. Moss the reason for the stop and immediately detected an odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from within Ms. Moss’ vehicle. Deputy Jinright asked Ms. Moss how many alcoholic beverages she had consumed, and she said none.” During field sobriety tests, Moss showed several signs of impairment. Moss was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Moss was transported to the Gordon County Jail, where she showed a BAC 0.144 BrAC on the state test. Moss was charged with DUI, failure to maintain a lane, and speeding.
