Calhoun woman arrested for theft after driving away from pump without paying for gas in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Tuesday, May, 24th, 2022, at approximately 2:53 PM, Sergeant Anderson responded to Allen’s Market located at 2523 Red Bud Road, in reference to a gas drive off. Sgt. Anderson met with the complainant/store clerk, who stated at approximately 2:30 PM, a gold in color 2020 Lexus SUV pulled up to gas pump # 4. According to the report, “She stated that a black female passenger came inside the store and went to the ding ding machines. She stated that the female did not stay very long at the machines and then went back outside to the vehicle. She stated that she returned with her wallet and went back to the machines. She stated that another white female subject stayed outside and pumped 15.36 gallons of fuel into the Lexus SUV. She stated that the price of the stolen fuel was $79.86. She stated that the black female then fled the store and returned to the vehicle, and both female subjects fled heading west on Red Bud Road.” She was unable to provide a tag number to the deputy for the Lexus SUV. She also showed the deputy very clear security camera footage showing the incident. After further investigation, Jessica Lynn Talley, 35, of Calhoun, was booked into the Gordon County Jail on May 27th, charged with theft: driving away without paying for gas.
