Cedartown woman booked into the Gordon County Jail after stealing vehicle from elderly woman

ccording to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Saturday, May 15th, 2021, at 4:23 PM, Deputy Holley was dispatched to 400 Greeson Loop in reference to a theft report. The victim stated her friend Brittany Kay Roden, 31, of Cedartown, borrowed her vehicle on Friday, May 7, 2021, to go see her kids in Rome, GA. The victim stated Roden left the house at approximately 10:00 PM, Friday and never returned. The victim stated she has spoken to several mutual friends of Roden’s who stated she is on the run because she has a felony warrant for her arrest. The victim stated Ms. Roden might be in Floyd County or Polk County because she has kids in Cedartown and Cave Springs, GA. The vehicle taken was a 2005 Red in color Buick Rendezvous belonging to a 68-year-old woman. On May 16th, 2021, Roden was arrested by Polk County PD and booked into the Polk County Jail, charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property. She was then booked into the Floyd County Jail, on the 21st, for felony probation violation. Warrants in Gordon County were issued for Roden, and on August 12th, 2022, she was taken into custody. Roden was booked into the Gordon County Jail and charged with theft by conversion and exploit/inflict pain/deprive essential services to disabled person, elder person.
