Chatsworth motorcyclist arrested after driving reckless at 119 mph in Whitfield County

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On October 7th, 2022, at 6:12 PM, Deputy Figg was working traffic on Chatsworth Hwy at the cattle gate just before Hwy 286.¬†According to the repot, “While working traffic Deputy Figg could hear a vehicle traveling West on Chatsworth at a very high rate of speed, the vehicle sounded like it was pegged out. As the vehicle came into sight Deputy Figg observed a 2022 BMW motorcycle traveling west in the left lane changing into the right lane at an extremely high rate of speed. Deputy Figg checked the vehicle on LASER. The vehicle registered 119 MPH in a posted 55 MPH Zone. Deputy Figg was able to conduct a traffic stop on the motorcycle at Hwy 286.” The motorcyclist was identified as Daniel Salazar, 25, of Chatsworth. Daniel was placed under arrest and transported to the Whitfield County Jail. Daniel was booked and charged with speeding and reckless driving.¬†
