Chatsworth police officer resigns after domestic violence arrest in Murray County

Chatsworth police officer resigns after arrest Chatsworth Police Department Patrol Sgt. Cody Kintz has resigned his position with the department after being arrested on charges of false imprisonment and simple assault. According to CPD Chief Josh Etheridge, officers were called to Kintz’s residence on Monday, March 28th to investigate a domestic disturbance. Kintz, who was off duty at the time of the incident, was not arrested that Monday., Information from the CPD was turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, which conducted its own investigation. Kintz was arrested on Wednesday by the GBI and housed at the Gordon County Jail. He is now out on bond. Kintz had been with the Chatsworth PD for seven years.
