Convicted felon found with gun after damaging door during heated domestic in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, on the date of February 10th, 2022, at 8:17 PM, Officer Chandler responded to a physical domestic at the residence of 11 Don Drive. Officer Chandler reported, “While en route, [I] was advised by 911 that a female was leaving the scene of the residence. Upon arrival, [I] made contact with a female, who stated that her boyfriend, Mr. Keith Robert Lee, 31, Rome was acting crazy and that he was yelling and screaming inside of the residence. The victim then stated that Mr. Lee was also inside with a loaded firearm. At this time, a white male was seen looking out of the window from inside of the residence. The male exited from the front door and began to walk toward the drive way. Verbal commands were given to the male to keep his hands visible. After observing and searching that the male was unarmed, it was identified that the male was Mr. Lee.” According to the victim during the domestic Mr. Lee became enraged after he was inside the residence, she became fearful for the safety of her and her children, and left the residence. Mr. Lee then pushed the storm door glass out of the frame, breaking it. A witnessed ran to see what was going on after he heard a gun shot at the residence and then yelling. He was met by Mr. Lee at the edge of the drive way. Mr. Lee stated, “why are you up late at nights watching me. People are watching me.” Mr. Lee then proceeded to take off his shirt and yell. According to the report, “A search of the property was done and two fire arms with ammunition was found on the property and in the bags of Mr. Lee which were outside of the residence. Due to Mr. Lee’s criminal history background of being a convicted felon, he was placed under arrest.” Lee was transported to the Floyd county Jail, charged with criminal trespass/damage to property, and possession of firearm by a convicted felon.
