Convicted felon points loaded gun at woman and violates restraining order in Floyd County

According to Floyd County Police Deprtment and jail reports, on August 12th, 2022, at 1:53 PM, Floyd County officers responded to address on Buttermilk Road in Cave Spring in reference to a domestic involving a gun. According to the report, James Donald Lecroy III, 26, Armuchee, pulled out a pistol, chambered a round and pointed at a woman’s head. He also attempted to assault her with a rock but missed damaging her vehicle. According to reports, Lecroy also harassed the woman at her house on multiple occasions, in one incident calling for her and banging on the door, in violation of the restraining order she took out against him. He then approached the woman at a baseball game on before also arriving at her house. Lecroy was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with at least aggravated assault, four counts aggravated stalking, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 2nd degree criminal damage to property, pointing a gun at another, transmitting nude or sexually explicit photos, terroristic threats and acts, harassing communications, possession of a schedule I controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Lecroy is currently being held in the Floyd County Jail without bail. According to arrest records, Lecroy has a very lengthy criminal record.
