Convicted felon pulls gun out and violently stomps man’s head in at bar on Broad Street in Rome

According to Floyd County Jail reports, on August 1st, 2022, Tiquan Ticristan Barrett, 25, of Rome, took his gun out at the Peaches Bar on Broad Street Friday night, waved it around, and pointed it at a bar patron’s head. Barrett then got another man onto the ground and violently stomped his head in– causing serious injuries. When he was arrested by Rome PD officers, he resisted arrest. He was found to also be a convicted felon. Barrett was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with felony aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts of obstruction of officers, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, misdemeanor reckless conduct, and disorderly conduct. He was held without bond pending a court appearance. According to a Floyd County Police Department report, on September 18th, 2020, he kidnapped a 2-year-old child and led police on a dangerous 118 mph chase.
