According to the report, “Deputy Cleary learned of an incident that occurred on November 26th, 2021, between Mr. Rodriguez and an employee of the Budgetel. On Friday, December 3rd, 2021, Deputy Cleary went back to 609 South Thornton Avenue and spoke with the victim. The victim stated she is employed as a housekeeper and has been working at the establishment for well over a year. She stated to Deputy Cleary that on Friday, November 26th, 2021, she was cleaning room 212. While she was cleaning the room, Onofre Rodriguez came into the room and sat on the bed. She stated that it is not unusual for a guest to come into the room while cleaning is being done, so she thought nothing of his presence. She heard Mr. Rodriguez behind her say, “Hey!” She stated she turned around to see what he needed, and when she did so, he had his pants open, and his penis was exposed. She stated he was grabbing at himself, and she made motions to imitate masturbation. She stated that Mr. Rodriguez asked her, “Do you like that?” She stated she was very scared and did not know what to do, so she left the room as soon as she could. She notified management immediately of the incident. Deputy Cleary thanked the victim for speaking to her.” Deputy Cleary took a warrant for the arrest of Onofre Rodriguez for felony Public Indecency, 3rd or more offense. Rodriguez was convicted in 2001 of statutory rape. According to the records, in 2013, the registered sex offender was charged with reckless conduct by an HIV-infected person for allegedly having unprotected sex without telling the alleged victim about his condition. The registered sex offender has a very lengthy criminal record.
