Dalton man arrested after being caught in online undercover child predator sex sting in Floyd County 

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, Investigators continued to conduct proactive investigations to find child predators who use social media platforms to find children for sex. The Investigator reported, “[I] was posing as a 14-year-old girl online for the purposes of identifying child predators.” Jose Valentin Hernandez Cabrera, 25 of Dalton, engaged in online conversations of a sexual nature with someone he thought to be a child. According to the report, He was taken into custody at an arranged location in which he was going to meet the child to engage in sexual acts. Cabrera was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with aggravated child molestation, use of computer to seduce a child to commit a felony and obscene internet contact with a child.
