A Dalton man who killed a Chatsworth resident will serve a minimum of 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to malice murder on Wednesday, according to District Attorney Bert Poston. Justin Payton Hooker, 21, of Dalton, admitted murdering Kenneth Bunn, 27, of Chatsworth, in March of 2020. He was sentenced to life in prison (with the chance for parole) by Judge William T. Boyett. Hooker’s girlfriend, Nadya Catherine Schwartz, 21, of Crandall, is still in jail awaiting her trial. Bunn’s body was found on Carlton Petty Road at the Conasauga Bridge. He had been shot four times.
