Dalton woman found in possession of meth pipe after shoplifting shoes from Walmart

According to a Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On October 13th, 2022, at 12:38 PM, Deputy Corona was dispatched to 2545 East Walnut Avenue at the Walmart in reference to shoplifting. The loss prevention associate advised the deputy that she observed Brittany Michelle Pangle, 31, of Homeless, Dalton, selecting merchandise and taking the tags off. According to the report, “Pangle threw the tags on the floor and placed the shoes on her feet. Pangle then exited the grocery doors passing all points of sale. Pangle made no attempt to pay for the merchandise.” During a search of Pangle’s bag, Deputy Corona located a meth pipe with dark brown residue. Pangle refused to speak with a drug detective. Pangle was then transported to the Whitfield County Jail, charged with possessing methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects, and theft by shoplifting.
