Deputies locate heroin and 2.4 pounds of meth in Chattooga County, Alabama man arrested

According to Chattoga County Sheriff Mark Schrader, “On Thursday, January 6th, drugs agents with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Lookout Mtn. Drug Task Force and Summerville Police Department, along with deputies, intercepted a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine that was set to make it to the streets of this area. Drug Agents confiscated about 2.4 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, which has a street value of over $10,000.” Reginal Eric Dowdy, 44, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama was also in the possession of heroin. Dowdy was booked into the Chattooga County Jail at around 4:50 PM, and charged with trafficking meth, possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute. Sheriff Mark Schrader said, “This was a great job by those involved, that’s a lot of methamphetamine that won’t make it onto the streets in this area.”
