Driver killed another seriously injured after three-vehicle crash on I-75 in Catoosa Tuesday morning

From the Georgia State Patrol, “The preliminary investigation shows that a silver Chevrolet Equinox struck the rear of an 18-wheeler in the right lane. An F-350 struck the rear of the Chevrolet Equinox. The F-350 came to a final rest blocking the left shoulder and left lane. The Equinox came to rest blocking the middle lane and part of the right lane. The 18-wheeler came to rest in the right lane. The driver of the Equinox was pronounced deceased on scene and the driver of the F-350 was transported to Erlanger with possible serious injury. SCRTA and MCCD responded to the scene. The order of impact is still under investigation. The Catoosa County Coroner is handling the death notification. Next of kin has not been notified at the time of this report. Robert Hutto, driver of F-350, was transported to Erlanger Hospital with serious injuries. Crash report is not complete. This is an ongoing investigation.”
