Drunk man arrested after leaving Dalton bar and peeing on McDonald’s wall

According to a Dalton Police Department incident report, on February 19th, 2021at approximately 12:40 AM, while Officer O’Neal was patrolling the area of 933 Market Street, he was flagged down by an employee of the Oyster Pub. The employee advised a male subject wearing a red plaid shirt was very intoxicated and left the bar. They tried to get him to obtain a ride, but the subject just walked away. They were concerned because he was really drunk. Officer O’Neal then observed the subject at Mcdonald’s standing at the locked door with his penis out facing the wall and where customers in the drive-thru could see and was peeing on the wall next to the door of Mcdonald’s. The subject was identified as Garrison Reed Mulkey, 23, of Dalton. Mulkey appeared to be very intoxicated. The officer reported that his breath and body had the odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from them. His speech was very slurred. He was swaying as he stood. Mulkey stated he walked from the pub. When asked why he just peed on McDonald’s wall, and he said because he could not hold it. It was discovered he had a valid probation violation warrant from Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. The officer attempted to have Mulkey blow into his portable breathalyzer. He would not listen and blow too hard and fast after being instructed not to. Mulkey was placed under arrest for public drunkenness, loitering, exposing himself, and pedestrian under the influence. He was calm and cooperative until placed in handcuffs. Mulkey was transported to Whitfield County jail. On the way there, he became very verbally aggressive, making derogatory, inappropriate, and racist comments toward the staff at the pub and the officer. According to arrest records, Mulkey has previous DUI arrests.
