Drunk South Georgia woman arrested after assaulting Rome bar owner while being escorted out

According to a Rome Police Department incident report, on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at approximately 1:29 hours, Lt Story, Officer Manning, and Officer Carswell were dispatched to The Brewhouse (Peaches) located at 325 Broad Street. Dispatchers advised a female was assaulting the complainant. The complainant, the witness, and several others met with officers outside of the business. The complainant, the owner of The Brewhouse, stated that a female was disorderly inside the business, so she asked her to leave several times before asking The Brewhouse security guard to intervene. The complainant said she was escorting the female outside and was leading her by holding onto her arm. Once outside, the female then closed fist struck her four times, once in the head, once in the temple area, one in the jaw, and once in the neck. Officer Carswell spoke with the witness, The Brewhouse security guard, who stated he was inside in the DJ area when he noticed the owner escorting a female out, so he followed behind to make sure everything was okay. He said that once outside, he saw the female swing four times and strike the owner. Officer Carswell reported, “[I] then spoke to the female, who [I] recognized from an earlier disturbance at Las Palmas where she was disruptive and got kicked out of the establishment, Jade Seeley.” Seeley, 31, of Evans, Georgia, stated she did nothing wrong, and she never assaulted anyone. Officer Carswell reported, “Ms. Seeley appeared very intoxicated, [I] could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her person while [I] was talking with her. She was being very loud, belligerent, tumultuous, and overall disruptive of everyone in the vicinity.” Seeley was transported to the Floyd County Jail charged with battery, public drunk, and disorderly conduct.
