Fairmount man wanted for felony theft found with meth during traffic stop

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on March 19th, 2021, at approximately 2:27 PM, Deputy Massingill with the Community Crime Prevention Unit was on patrol in the area of Highway 41 North when he observed a red 1991 Nissan pickup truck. The deputy observed the driver to be Ronald Parker, 47, of Fairmount and had knowledge that he had felony warrants for his arrest. The deputy initiated a traffic stop in the parking lot of the Shell gas station located at 1444 US 41 in Calhoun. Parker was then taken into custody without incident. During a search of his vehicle, deputies located a small plastic baggie with meth in a blue container that was attached to the set of keys. Parker was charged with warrants for felony theft by taking, loitering or prowling, criminal trespass along with possession of meth, and driving on a suspended license.
