Family escapes after house set on fire Tuesday morning in Rossville, third suspicious fire

Fire erupted at three houses (two vacant, one occupied) within a few blocks of each other in the Lakeview community recently, and it appears they were deliberately set in the pre-dawn hours. On Tuesday morning Catoosa County Fire Department responded to Magnolia street to a reported residential structure fire. Arriving units found the house well involved by flames. The owner says she’s lost almost everything. And this isn’t the first time her family has been affected by a fire. The back of her home and trailer were lit on fire earlier this year. If you have any information that can help investigators, or if you have any security camera images of out of the ordinary activity in the area, a reward of up to $10,000 is being offered by Georgia Arson Control if it leads to arrest and conviction. Call the Georgia Arson Control Hotline at 800-282-5804, or the Catoosa County Fire Department at 706-861-4194.
