According to a Summerville Police Department incident report, on Sunday, January 30th, 2022, at around 1:32 AM, Officer Matt Wilson observed a vehicle driven by Kimothy Lavon Perry, 55, of Summerville, swaying side-to-side in the lane with no taillights on. When the officer pulled Perry over, they could smell alcohol on his breath. Perry told police he had been drinking Four Lokos 30 minutes prior to the stop. Perry was found to have a warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Perry was booked into the Chattooga County Jail, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to maintain lane and headlights required at certain times.
