Four arrested after incident involving apple slices at the Summerville McDonald’s leads to fight at house

According to Summerville Police Department reports, Summerville Police Officers and Chattooga County Deputies responded to a fight at 217 Hawkins Drive Monday May 2nd, 2022, around 7:00 PM, that resulted in the arrest of four people. According to the report, Amaya Jenise Reese, 17, of Summerville, Khanija Markia Avery, 17, of Summerville, and Nischa Ladawn Daniel, 50, of Summerville, got into a physical altercation with Jamila Michelle McCutchins, 27, of Summerville. Officers arrived on scene to see McCutchins, “being very irate and yelling at several other female subjects,” according to an incident from the Summerville Police Department. McCutchins said Reese and Avery, McDonald’s employees, were smart with her when she asked for apple slices. McCutchins eventually went home and was approached by the employees while she was in her vehicle. Suddenly, a physical altercation occurred when, “Reese, Avery and Daniel started fighting McCutchins.” Avery and Reese told officers the fight started because McCutchins got mad and caused a scene toward them. Avery, Reese and Daniel were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. McCutchins, “continued to yell, be irate and boisterous.” Police opted to also arrest her and charge her with simple assault and two counts of disorderly conduct.
