Gaylesville man charged with DUI and homicide after killing woman in Floyd County crash

According to Floyd County Police Department Sgt. Chris Fincher, on Monday, August 24th, 2021, at around 3:23 PM, Kenneth Marvin Tudor, 62, of Gaylesville, Alabama Tudor lost control of his Ford F-150 pickup on Livingston Road. Tudor left the south shoulder of Livingston Road and slammed into a tree (driver’s side). The crash occurred between Black’s Bluff Road and Fosters Mill Road. Tudor’s passenger Shawna Kelley, 60, also of Gaylesville, was killed in the crash. According to an arrest affidavit, Floyd County Police discovered several opened beer cans inside and outside the vehicle. Tudor was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries and arrested on a warrant Saturday by Rome Police Department. Tudor was booked into the Floyd County Jail charged with felony homicide by vehicle in the first degree, DUI, open container violation, failure to maintain his lane, and driving with a suspended or revoked license. Kelly is the 20th fatality this year in Floyd County. According to Georgia Department of Corrections records, Tudor has a history of felony convictions dating back to the ’80s.
