GSP Aviation helps locate missing toddler in Chattooga County, multiple agencies assisted as well

On Wednesday Chattooga County first responders went to Silver Leaf to assist in a 22 month old lost child. The search went great and approximately 4 hours since last seen the child was located and was unharmed. The Summerville Fire Department posted, “We would like to thank everyone involved that we remember and hope we don’t leave out anyone. First off the Chattooga County Sheriff Office and Mark Shrader. Ratsar with Jeff Randall and Shane Adams and their other personnel. Floyd County Police and Sheriff Departments. Walker Fire, Dalton Fire, Catoosa Fire, GSAR 5, Lyerly Fire, Gore Fire, Teloga Fire, Subligna Fire, Dade County Sheriff, Gordon County Sheriff, Calhoun Police, MCCD, Ga DNR, Georgia State Patrol and their helicopter pilot who actually spotted the Juvenile, CERT, GDC, Chattooga EMA, Atrium EMS and Jordon Pierson from GDPH, Fisher Alabama Fire, Rome Police, Parker Systems, The volunteers that showed up and [I] am probably forgetting someone and if I have [I] do apologize. Here is a map of last known position and location found safe and sound. Again great job by everyone involved it could not have been done without all hands on deck.” Georgia Department of Public Safety posted, “Shortly after noon on Wednesday, September 7th, GSP Aviation was requested to assist in a search for a missing 2-year-old in Summerville, Chattooga County. While searching the area, TFC Pletcher located the missing 2-year-old in a clear-cut several hundred yards away from the child’s residence. TFC Pletcher guided ground units to the child’s location where he was safely returned to his family.”
