According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Deputies responded to an Atlanta Avenue residence to a report of a violent domestic incident in progress. According to the report, When deputies arrived at the residence on Cloudland, they spoke with the victim, who said that his wife’s uncle and aunt had forced their way into the residence and assaulted him and his wife while the couple’s juvenile children were present. According to the report, The victim said that Robert “Brad” Bradford Bass, 49, and Candace “Candy” Bass, 49, both of Highway 157, Cloudland, showed up at the Atlanta Avenue residence intoxicated and came into the home without permission. The victim said that the couple was yelling and screaming at his wife, and Candy Bass hit the victim’s wife in the head with her fists. As the victim attempted to assist his wife, Brad Bass is accused of pulling a .22 revolver and telling the victim and his wife that he “was going to kill them” while violently hitting the victim in the head with the pistol. According to the report, The victim and his wife said that they had no idea why Brand and Candy Bass had assaulted them. The victims said that Candy Bass said during the assault that the couple had it “coming to them for twenty years.” On January 20th, 2022, at around 12:55 PM, Robert Bass was booked into the Chattooga County Jail, charged with burglary 1st degree, felony terroristic threats and acts, pointing/aiming a gun at another, possession of a gun during the commission of a felony crime, criminal trespass, aggravated assault and cruelty to children 3rd degree. On January 21st, 2022, at around 12:21 PM, Candace Bass was booked into the Chattooga County Jail, charged with burglary 1st degree, criminal trespass, simple assault, and cruelty to children 3rd degree.
