Jasper woman assaults ex-boyfriend and his girlfriend during violent domestic in Gordon County

According to a Gordon County Sheriff’s Office incident report, on Monday, May 31st, 2021, at approximately 2:05 PM, Deputy Morse responded to an address on Red Bud Road in reference to a physical domestic. According to the report, “Deputy Morse met with the complainant who stated that his ex-girlfriend, Tammy Martin, 45, of Jasper, pulled into his residence and parked behind his truck. The man stated that he and Martin had been in a verbal altercation earlier in the day; however, Martin had left.” He stated that because of the initial altercation and the fact that his now new girlfriend was with him, he wanted to leave as quickly as possible. According to the report, he stated that he backed up and then drove through the front yard. He stated that Martin rammed the rear of his truck and then struck the driver’s side, from the rear tire to the driver’s door, before coming to a stop in front of his vehicle. When he got out to confront Martin about the damage, she attacked him, ripping his shirt and then scratching his right arm. When he attempted to get back into the truck, Martin jumped into his truck and attacked his girlfriend. The girlfriend stated Martin entered the truck and grabbed her by her hair in an attempt to pull her out of the vehicle. According to the report, “Deputy Morse noticed approximately a hand-full of the victim’s (girlfriend) hair lying on the ground. Deputy Morse took photographs of the damage to the vehicle, tire tracks through the yard, the scratches on their victim’s right arm, and the hair pulled from the female victim’s head. State warrants on Martin for simple battery (FVA), aggravated assault (FVA), and battery. On September 23rd, 2021, Martin was booked into the Gordon County Jail.
