LaFayette man seriously injured in crash on Highway 27 last week in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on March 15th, 2022, at 9:49 PM, a 2012 Buick Enclave being driven by Kerry Carson, 35, of LaFayette, was traveling north on GA 1 near Turnipseed Road. According to the crash report, “Carson advised he was traveling north when all of a sudden his vehicle went out of control and started yawing and overturned. The Buick hit standing water, hydroplaned, and lost control. The Buick traveled off the east side of GA 1 and overturned several times. Carson had to be extricated from the Buick and was seriously injured in the crash. Carson was transported by CHI Memorial EMS to Erlanger in Chattanooga, TN. The investigating GSP trooper issued the driver a warning.
