LaFayette teenager injured in crash on Highway 95 in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on January 9th, 2022, at around 6:38 PM, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee bering driven by a 18-year-old from LaFayette, was traveling south on GA 95. According to the report, “The teenager was traveling too fast around a curve, lost control, traveled off the west side of GA 95, struck a ditch and a utility pole. The area of impact, as determined by the vehicle debris, the tire marks, the damaged pole and the vehicle’s uncontrolled final rest, was off the west side of GA 95.” The teenager was injured in the crash and transported by CHI EMS. She was issued a warning by the investigating GSP trooper.
