Lyerly man arrested for DUI again after suspicious vehicle call in Floyd County

According to Floyd County Police Department incident report, on March 27th, 2022, at 9:08 PM, Officer O’Bryan was dispatched to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 15 Berry Run Drive. Officer O’Bryan reported, “When [I] arrived at the residence, a 2004 Black Nissan Frontier was stopped at a stop sign on Grand Berry Court and Berry Run Drive. As [I] passed the vehicle to turn around on the vehicle, [I] observed the vehicle turn onto Berry Run Drive and drive in front of 14 Berry Run Drive when [I] activated my lights on the patrol vehicle.” The officer then made contact with the driver, Jackie Preston Money, 47, of Lyerly, who began to open the driver’s door to exit the vehicle without the officer asking. The officer reported that he noticed Money was slurring his words to the point that he was very incoherent when trying to speak. As Money was walking to the back of his vehicle, the officer observed he was having difficulty maintaining his balance. SGT Holbrook conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Test to check Money and his ability to drive. Money showed several signs of impairment and was placed under arrest for DUI. Money then refused implied consent. During a vehicle inventory search, an open container was located in the vehicle. Money was transported to the Floyd County Jail, charged with open container violation and DUI. According to arrest records Money has previous convictions for DUI.
