According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On October 1st, 2022, at 1:48 AM, Lt. Cunningham responded to South Center Street in reference to a vehicle crash. Lt. Cunningham arrived on the scene and observed a silver Honda Element partially in the ditch with a male subject, later identified as Robert Alexander Creasman, 25, sitting on the ground behind the vehicle. According to the report, “Lt. Cunningham walked up to Robert, and he was on the phone. Lt. Cunningham overheard him tell the person he was talking to that he had screwed up and he was going to jail. Lt. Cunningham asked Robert what happened, and he stated, “I’m going to jail”. Lt. Cunningham asked Robert why he would go to jail, and he stated that I was driving drunk. Lt. Cunningham observed Robert’s eyes to be watery and bloodshot and could smell an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his breath. Lt. Cunningham observed Robert be unsteady on his feet. Robert turned around and put his hands behind his back and told Lt. Cunningham to go ahead and take him to jail.” When asked what happened, Robert stated he doesn’t answer any questions. Robert was placed under arrest and refused the state test. The victim and juvenile that were in the other vehicle stated they had just dropped a friend off at a residence on South Center Street and were sitting in the vehicle getting ready to leave. They stated Robert came up from behind them, struck their vehicle, and then hit the mailbox. Robert was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, charged with failure to maintain a single lane and DUI.
