Man killed, several injured in head-on crash in Catoosa County Thursday afternoon

According to the the Georgia State Patrol, “These results are preliminary as this crash is still under investigation. On July 14th, at 3:15 p.m., Troopers from Post 5 Dalton responded to a two-vehicle, head-on crash at 1875 Holcomb Road in Catoosa County. The investigating Troopers determined that a silver Ford Mustang being driven by 21-year-old Damien Crum and occupied by 20-year-old Macey Swafford, three-year-old Kingston Guinn, and six-month-old Nova Swafford was traveling east on Holcomb Road. Mr. Crum crossed over the centerline and struck a silver Dodge Ram 2500 head on that was traveling west on Holcomb Road. The Dodge Ram 2500 being driven by 38-year-old Ashley Knox and occupied by eight-year-old Kyle Knox. Mr. Crum succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. Next of kin has been notified. The other driver and all other occupants sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals in Tennessee.
