Menlo man arrested for DUI after failing to maintain lane on Highway 48

According to a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On Saturday around midnight, August 20th, 2022, Deputy Chris Clark stopped a vehicle after witnessing the driver cross the fog line on Hwy. 48 and abruptly turn onto Peach Orchard Road. The deputy stopped the vehicle in the 270 block of Peach Orchard Road and spoke with the driver, Corey Djuan Perry, 51, of Menlo. Perry was asked to step out of the vehicle when the deputy noticed a smell of alcohol coming from his breath. Perry showed visible signs of impairment and was placed into custody for DUI. Perry was transported to the Chattooga County Jail, and charged with DUI.
