According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Monday, August 23rd, 2021 at around 10:37 PM, a 2015 Subaru being driven by Santos Hernandez-Solis, 20, of Trion, was attempting to turn onto Mountain View Road and “failed to yield while turning left, striking [Chasity Snider, 37, of Trion],”. Snider’s 2011 Chevrolet HHR “came to a final uncontrolled rest in the right southbound lane of Hwy. 27,” according to reports. Hernandez-Soli’s vehicle “came to a final uncontrolled rest in the right southbound lane of Hwy. 27, just north of [Snider],” according to reports. Hernandez-Solis stated that he thought that was in the right turn only lane of Highway 27 instead of the right southbound travel lane. Hernandez-Solis reported a minor injury but was not transported via Redmond EMS. Hernandez-Solis was issued a warning by Georgia State Patrol.
