New Jersey woman causes three-vehicle injury crash after failing to yield in Chattooga County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Thursday, July 29th, 2021, at around 5:45 PM, Samantha Lu, 21, of New Jersey, “was attempting to turn left off of Penn Bridge Road onto Highway 27 (GA-1) and failed to yield while turning left. [Randall Brock, 58, of LaFayette] was traveling north in the left northbound lane on Highway 27 just south of Penn Bridge Road. While turning left, Lu struck Brock’s 1996 Ford Ranger in the front end with her 2021 Nissan Rogue. Brock attempted to make an evasive maneuver to the left to avoid contact with [Lu],” according to a crash report. After impact, “Brock continued to travel south on Highway 27 and crossed over into the southbound lanes. The ATV that was in the bed of Brock’s truck was ejected and followed the path of Brock’s vehicle. [Amalia Domingo, 42, of Trion] was traveling south on Hwy. 27 in the left lane near Penn Bridge Road. Brock struck the front of Domingo’s 1998 Toyota Camry with his front end. Brock and Domingo came to a final uncontrolled rest in the southbound lanes of Highway 27 facing west just north of Lu. Brock’s ATV came to rest behind his truck on its right side,” according to reports. Also, after impact, “Lu rotated clockwise while traveling south into the southbound lanes of Hwy. 27 and came to a final uncontrolled rest in the southbound lanes of Hwy. 27 facing east,” according to reports. Lu, Domingo, and her three passengers were transported via Redmond EMS to Floyd Medical Center for minor injuries, according to the report.
