According to a Georgia State Patrol incident report, on February 9th, 2022, at approximately 10:20 PM, Trooper Sanders was on stationary patrol on GA 53 near Willow Road. Trooper Sanders reported, “[I] observed a vehicle traveling south on GA 53 at a high rate of speed and approaching another vehicle that was in front of it very rapidly. [I] activated my Stalker RADAR and confirmed the vehicle’s speed to be 99MPH in a 65MPH zone. [I] activated my emergency equipment and initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. [I] made contact with the driver, Clinton Estuardo Puacmacario, 26, of Brooklyn, New York. [I] advised Mr. Puacmacario to exit the vehicle, and he complied. [I] asked Mr. Puacmacario why he was driving so fast, and he stated he did not know he was driving that fast. [I] immediately noticed an odor of alcohol coming from his person. [I] asked Mr. Puacmacario how much he had to drink prior to driving, and he stated, “three beers”. [I] noticed Mr. Puacmacario displayed bloodshot and watery eyes. [I] asked Mr. Puacmacario if he would perform Field Sobriety and consented. During field sobriety testing, Paucmacario showed several signs of alcohol impairment and showed a BAC of .139 on a PBT. Puacmacario refused implied consent and was placed under arrest for DUI. Puacmacario was then transported to the Floyd County Jail, charged with reckless driving, speeding, and DUI.
