Plainville woman arrested for DUI after being stopped by concerned citizen in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, On October 17th, 2022, at 6:39 AM, Dispatch gave a county-wide BOLO for a vehicle that was driving under the speed limit. Dispatch then advised the complainant stated the vehicle was swerving and pulled out in front of other vehicles before heading into the northbound lane driving Southbound on GA 53 near HWY 140. The concerned citizen then went as far as to block the vehicle until the appropriate authorities arrived. Officer Kelsi Wade arrived and made contact with the vehicle. Captain Bohannon started roadside evaluations with the driver, identified as Stephanie Kay Hensley, 48, Plainville, who showed several signs of impairment. Hensley was then placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Hensley was booked into the Floyd County Jail, charged with failure to maintain lane, driving on the wrong way of the road, DUI multiple substances, and failure to yield.
