Ringgold man charged with DUI and homicide after female passenger is killed in crash on Hwy 151 in Catoosa County

According to the Georgia State Patrol, “These are the preliminary investigative findings, and this crash is still under investigation. On April 29, 2022, at approximately 6 p.m., Georgia State Patrol Post 5 Dalton responded to a single-vehicle crash in Catoosa County. The preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle traveling on GA 151 failed to maintain its lane near W. Nickajack Road. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a mailbox and a wooden fence. The front seat passenger succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash. The driver faces multiple charges. The Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team A (SCRTA) is assisting with this crash investigation. The crash report is incomplete.” According to the family, Jessica Nicole Slawson, was the victim killed in the crash. According to Catoosa County Jail records, Raymond Glenn Curvin, 44, was charged with homicide by vehicle 1st degree, DUI/alcohol, driving on a revoked license (DUI), false statements and writings, possession of drug-related objects, and failure to maintain a single lane.
