Ringgold woman arrested for DUI after being stopped for speeding on Burning Bush Road in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office, On June 5, 2022, at 3:15 hours, Corporal Cantrell stopped a grey 2016 Nissan Murano traveling 53 mph in a 35 mph zone on Burning Bush Road. According to the report, “Corporal Cantrell got behind the vehicle and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle continued down Burning bush Road and then turned onto Leona Drive and came to a stop.” Corporal Cantrell then made contact with the driver, identified as Lacie Daniell Jones, 43, of Ringgold. According to the report, “Corporal Cantrell could smell the strong, distinct odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from Lacie’s breath. Corporal Cantrell also observed Lacie’s eyes to be bloodshot and watery. Corporal Cantrell asked Lacie if she had consumed any alcoholic beverages prior to driving, and she advised she had. She stated she had consumed approximately six Smirnoff Seltzers throughout the day.” During field sobriety testing, Lacie showed several signs of impairment and a BAC of .091 on a PBT. Lacie was then placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state testing of her blood. Lacie was then transported to the Catoosa County Jail, charged with DUI and speeding.
