Ringgold woman arrested for DUI after failing to maintain lane on I-75 in Catoosa County

According to a Georgia State Patrol incident report, On November 2nd, 2022, at 8:46 PM, Trooper Story stopped a 2014 Nissan Rouge after observing it failing to maintain a single lane. She then made contact with the driver identified as Karen Anne Vendal, 56, of Ringgold, and immediately smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Vendal’s breath. When asked if she had anything to drink before driving, She stated, “Yes, I had only one beer.” During Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Vendal showed several signs of impairment and showed BAC of .147 on a PBT. Vendal was then placed under arrest for DUI driving while under the influence of alcohol and agreed to the state blood draw. Vendal was transported to the Catoosa County Jail where she charged with DUI and failing to maintain a single lane.
