Ringgold woman arrested for DUI after leaving the scene of crash in Catoosa County

According to a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office incident report, On September 18th, 2022, at approximately 1:06 AM, Deputy Brogdon responded to a vehicle crash that had been called in and observed the 2012 Kia Sorento leaving the lot of DJ’s Country Market where the crash was said to have occurred. Deputy Brogdon initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver Kaci Murdock Roy, 32, of Ringgold. According to the report, “When Deputy Brogdon made contact with Kaci, he saw that her eyes were glassy and she appeared unsteady in her movements. Deputy Brogdon noticed that her speech was slow and also sounded slurred. Deputy Brogdon asked if Kaci had her license on her, and when she went to get it out of her wallet, she informed Deputy Brogdon that it was her wallet before spilling several items from the wallet. Deputy Brogdon asked if she had been in an accident, and she said no but that her car was not driving right. Deputy Brogdon checked her vehicle and saw heavy damage to the lower front left corner of the vehicle.” When asked, Kaci said that she had a few shots of rum before driving. Corporal Lewis responded to the scene and assisted with field sobriety tests. Kaci showed a BAC of .263 on a PBT and several signs of impairment during tests. Kaci was placed under arrest for DUI and agreed to the state test. Kaci was booked into the Catoosa County Jail, charged with duty upon striking fix object and DUI.
