Ringgold woman killed, two others seriously injured in crash on Highway 95 in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, on Friday, April 23rd, 2021, at around 8:44 PM, A 1998 Toyota RAV4, being driven by Jeffry Yauman, 68, of Ringgold, was traveling east on Ringgold Road, turning left onto GA 95. A 1984 Chevy C10 being driven by Keri Hallman, 37, of LaFayette, was traveling south on GA 95. Yauman advised he observed the Chevy but advised he thought he had enough time to make his turn. Yauman turned in front of the Chevy, striking the Chevy in the front with the front of the Toyota on GA 95. According to the report, both Keri Hallman and Brianna Hallman, 15, were not wearing seat belts and were ejected from the Chevy. They were both seriously injured and transported to Erlanger in Chattanooga by CHI EMS. A passenger in the Toyota, Wilma Yauman, 74 of Ringgold, was also seriously injured in the crash. She was transported to Erlanger in Chattanooga by CHI EMS, where she passed away later this week according to obituary reports. Jeffry Yauman was not injured in the crash and was cited by GSP for failure to stop at a stop sign, according to the report.
