Rock Spring woman charged with DUI child endangerment after crashing on Highway 151 in Walker County

According to a Georgia State Patrol crash report, On Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, at around 9:40 PM, a 2010 Nissan Altima being driven by Torie Ahbrail Mitchell, 30, of Rock Spring, was traveling south on GA 151, negotiating a curve near mile marker 5. According to the report, “Mitchell failed to maintain her lane. The Altima exited the west shoulder of GA 151 and struck a mailbox with its front. The Altima then traveled across a private driveway and struck the ditch with its front. The Altima continued off the roadway and struck a tree with its front passenger’s side. The Altima then struck a second tree with its front. The Altima rotated clockwise and came to an uncontrolled rest facing north.” Mitchell and a 5-year-old child were injured in the crash and transported to Erlanger by CHI EMS. Mitchell was charged by the investigating trooper with DUI, DUI child endangerment, driving while license is suspended or revoked, no insurance, and failure to maintain a single lane.
