Rome man arrested after seriously injuring passenger in crash on Riverbend Drive while DUI

A Rome man is charged with the felony of causing serious injury by vehicle after he drove drunk on Riverbend Drive on Jan. 13 and caused a wreck, reports stated. According to Floyd County Jail reports: Grady Evan Willerson, 21, was operating a vehicle intoxicated above the legal limit at 0.156 grams. His vehicle crossed from the inside lane to the outside lane, partially left the roadway and struck tree. As a result, the passenger of another vehicle was seriously injured. During the incident, Willerson had multiple open bottles of alcohol in the vehicle along with another person, who was under 21 and also intoxicated.
