Rome man found in possession of child porn after being caught in undercover child sex sting in Floyd County

According to a Floyd County Police Department incident report, Investigators continued to conduct proactive investigations to find child predators who use social media platforms to find children for sex. The Investigator reported, While posing as a child under 16 years old on a popular social media site, the Investigator participated in a conversation with someone later identified as William David Curry, 29, of Rome. According to the report, “Curry sent nude pictures and requested the same from who he believed to be a child. He also sent pornographic videos and engaged in graphic descriptions of sex acts he wished to engage in. He then set up a location to meet who he believed to be a child to engage in those acts which would have been aggravated child molestation.” During the arrest on July 15th, 2022, Curry was found to be in possession of THC oil which he would have also supplied to the child.¬†Curry was booked into the Floyd C is charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, sexual exploitation of children, obscene internet contact with a child, electronically furnishing obscene materials to a minor, use of a computer to entice a child, and possession of a controlled substance. Curry was later charged with felony bestiality and possession of child sexual abuse material after he was initially arrested. According to Floyd County Jail reports, Curry had obscene and explicit photos of a child, as well as a video of a dog engaged in sex acts with a girl.
