Rome man wanted for setting house on fire attempting to burn ex-girlfriend and children alive arrested

On Thursday at 1:40 AM, at 2105 Maple Avenue, Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man wanted for first-degree arson, aggravated assault, and first-degree cruelty to children. According to Floyd County Jail records, on September 27th, 2021, Tobias Steven Cohner Fuller, 25, of Rome, was seen by a female victim standing outside her bedroom window late at night pouring gas on the side of the residence. Fuller took his shirt off and deliberately lit the gas, causing fire damage to the residence. A second fire was then set by Fuller by another window near the residence to the victim’s children’s toys outside. According to officers at the scene, the children were visibly upset and scared because of the incident. Fuller is being charged with first-degree felony cruelty to children, felony criminal damage to property, and five counts of felony aggravated assault. He is being held in the Floyd County Jail without bond.
