Rome men arrested after search warrant by Metro Task Force leads to large quantity of drugs and guns

According to a press release from the Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force, on March 19th, 2021, Rome/Floyd Metro Task Force and Rome/Floyd SWAT executed a search warrant at 6 Pine St Rome, GA, following an investigation of narcotics distribution coming from this location. During the search, Investigators recovered large quantities of cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy tablets, multiple prescription medications, 11 firearms, and a large amount of U.S. Currency believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics. Frederick Carnell Long Jr was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Trafficking Cocaine, Possession of Ecstasy, Possession of Ecstasy with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Marijuana more than 1oz, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of Related Drug Objects. John Derrick Turner Jr was placed under arrest at the scene and was charged with Possession of Marijuana More than 1oz, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance(prescription medications), Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Theft by Receiving Stolen Property and Possession of Related Drug Objects.
